National Lampoon's Chess Maniac 5 Billion and 1 is a comedic digital chess game developed by MicroProse and published by Spectrum Holobyte for DOS PCs in 1993.

Based on the National Lampoon (Franchise) humor magazine, Chess Maniac builds on the game of chess with various humorous features (such as the CPU opponent trying to distract or cheat). In addition to standard chess pieces, it features a 3D-perspective board with animated live-action pieces similar to Battle Chess (Game), with conquering pieces shown with a humorous and elaborate animation unique for each piece combination.

Chess Maniac was originally set to be called "Chessmeister," but the legal team at Spectrum Holobyte was worried that this would be too close to "Chessmaster," one of the games that this was originally intended to parody.
