Overview

The Simpsons Wrestling is a comedic wrestling game developed by Big Ape Productions and released for the PlayStation (Platform) in Europe by EA on March 23, 2001 and in North America by Activision (Company) on April 3, 2001.

Based on the animated TV sitcom The Simpsons (Franchise), The Simpsons Wrestling puts several of its characters in exaggerated wrestling matches throughout Springfield (Location).

Mr. Burns & Waylon Smithers (Character) - Sub-boss. Only playable in the Bonus Matchup mode. Smithers does the actual fighting, while Burns tosses things into the ring from the side.
Kang (Character) & Kodos (Character) - Final boss. Only playable in the Bonus Matchup mode.
Itchy (Character) / Scratchy (Character) - Only playable in the Bonus Matchup mode, with P1 as Itchy and P2 as Scratchy. Fights with various "lethal" weapons. Instead of building a TAUNT meter, they have an ANVIL meter, which drops an anvil on the opponent.

Gameplay

When the player fills up their TAUNT meter, which is done by collecting various letters from around the ring, then they will become invincible for a certain amount of time. Which usually meant that during this time, the match could be one due to some issues about the length of this. However, when playing as Ned Flanders, you can play, and God will give you a hand to make sure that your opponent takes a lot of damage, which makes this character very hard to unlock.
