Illsmouth
LOCATION
This small fishing village on the coast of New England is where most of the events from Call of Cthulhu: Shadow of the Comet take place. Its name hints at the town of Innsmouth, from Lovecraft's work "The Shadow over Innsmouth".

Long before Illsmouth was founded, a group of Indians used the place as a temple where they worshipped the Great Ancients: Cthulhu, Dagon, Yog-Sothoth, Nyarlathotep and many others. The Indians became gradually extinct, while the new settlement flourished thanks to its fishing business. Illsmouth is secluded by the sea from one direction and an impenetrable forest from the other sides. Besides the residents' houses, in the village you can find Myer's General Store, a tavern called Dead Horse Inn, a pharmacy, the Post Office, the Town Hall, the Lighthouse and the fishery.
